Abstract The stringer sheet forming process chain enables the cost-effective production of components with significantly increased stiffness for mass markets such as automotive sector. In first step, a is added to conventional by laser welding. subsequent parts are formed deep drawing operation. Previous investigations component performance focused in particular on static sheets. behavior under dynamic load, crash events, has not been systematically investigated date. Static testing height only influence part performance. This study characterizes means drop hammer test. energy absorption evaluated experiment based rebound hammer, whereas structural integrity characterized maximum well permanent deformation.
